I just spend 5 days in the 4th ave Jail for trespassing at the grayhound bus station at 27th ave and glendale. I was housed in max @ the 4th ave jail with a cell mate facing 40 years. There was a Kid in there that was having troubles with his cell mate and pushed the button in his cell to keep from fighting. The guards know that once an inmate pushs the button and reports problems with another inmate he is a marked man as a rat and his race will beat him down bad. What did they do they just moved him to another cell in the same pod knowing full well that his safety was now at risk.
He had to beg the guards to move him the next day because his race was going to smash him bad. This kid would have been hurt real bad and the guards knew that. The fact is: MCSO guards love to set people up and also to house misdemeanor crimes in a max pod is going way to far. This dept needs a overhaul!!!
