I went to them for alcohol abuse counselling. Although I am sober, it is because of AA not seafield.
Seafield houses you in one of their sober houses and then requires you to go to their center as a condition of staying at their house. They offer only group therapy. This did not work for me as it does not work for most people. However, you have two choices. Attend, and stay or do not attend and be kicked out on the street.
If you search for a referral to an outside agency or doctor, they blatently refuse you, and if you do get a referral and stop going to Seafield in search of therapy that works, you are kicked out of their housing. For most individuals, this means homelessness.
There transportaion is a poorly maintained van. It has no air conditioning and the windows only crack open. It seats 11, but they cram in 15 to increase their billing. The driver is an angry man that constantly drives in an unsafe manner, and cares none for passengers.
The manager of their "sober" house is an absolute tyrant. He will curse at you and belittle you. He is in search of power over people just trying to get help and is happy to scream and belittle you to boost his very inflated ego.
If you are trying to get sober, find another place... Run... Dont walk from seafield. They care more about not smoking on their property than they do for mental well being.
