Recently I obtained the services from Premier Family Service, a claimed to be fathers advocacy group. For $100.00 start up fee and $50.00 monthly fee I was supposed to receive help in filling out documents, advice, and a discussion with a real attorney the night before my hearing. For a month I called and attempted to use this service, "Tom" my case manager was more interested in trying to get me into a larger priced package rather tell me what paperwork I needed for my case. That being, when he actually answered the phone. Most times I would leave voicemails and still hear nothing from "Tom", until I called him back. I was assigned my trail date and informed "Tom" so I could retain my consultation with the lawyer before my hearing. The night before my hearing I waited to hear from that lawyer until 1am EST, I even tried calling the advocacy group, but as usual there was no answer. I never received one of the services that I was promised.
After my court date I continued to keep calling, I left up to 15 messages before I got through to someone. Then I talked to a "manager", who left herself nameless, she then informed me "we serve 20,000 people, and some just fall through the cracks."
I fell through the cracks and she refused to refund the money I had given their company to help me in court.instead I went to court with no advice, no help, and no clue what to expect, all thanks to this "Christian family service" that encouraged me that I could do this without a lawyer.
