These people contacted me unsolicited because I was being "honored" for my "achievement". I sent in the application and received a call back, congratulating me on my great "success". Everything sounded great until they got to the sales pitch.
The sales person was the most aggressive I have ever encountered, and I used to work at a car dealership! She would not let up, badgering me to buy a very expensive ($900) membership which would give me networking priviledges. I didn't bite and I almost had to hang up on the woman to get her off the phone.
I went on the BBB website and found these people were rated "unsatisfactory". I also went on their website. It seems as though, if one had the money, it would be a good networking community; however, I was so offput by their "bait and switch" routine and high pressure sales tactics that I would not give them my money. I'm actually pretty annoyed that I had to waste my time answering their inane questions about my "qualifications" when in reality the only qualification for membership is the ability to pay their fee!
