Poor Customer Service

I began my Sunday, looking for my newspaper. To my constant shock and amazement, it was not delivered. This happens 3 times per month. I called at 8 am. I was told by the automated system it would take 45 min. I decided to speak to a live person and was told 90 min? OK, as long as I got my paper. 9:15 comes along... No paper. I called again. Was told ANOTHER 90 minutes. I wanted a suoervisor this time. I was told, without fail, 90 min. 10:30. No paper. Now I am irrate. I call again. Not so nice this time. But was assured I would not have to call back. I wanted to know what time the office close. I was told 1 PM. But the paper should be there by12:45, right.? No paper. I call and was told that the carrier was off and it would have to delivered on Monday? I ordered the Sunday paper for Sunday, not for Monday? I call and get supervisor "Jessica" she tells me she can't do anything for me, but get me a paper on Monday. I asked to speak with her supervisor. She says to hold on. She sets the phone down on her desk. It is 12:50 now. I wait on the desk. I can hear everybody leaving for the day, still on the desk. I hear in the background, that "Jessica" said "goodbye" to someone and hung up the phone. The Los Angeles Times can not understand why "the print" media is dying a slow, painful death. It is because, The Los Angeles Times has forgotten what it means to take care of the customer. I own my own business. I treat EVERY customer as if they were my lively hood, because, THEY ARE.
