In February I opened an account with Sprint, I was told that I could add 4 more lines for $9.99 each per month for a family plan to share 1500 minutes. I was not told that for each additional phone there was a termination fee of $200, totaling $1000. I just found this out. Around August, I called Sprint because I wanted to lower my bill as the bill every month was over $450. I asked to have my bill lowered; the rep told me they had a special plan that would save me a lot of money. I signed up and now my bill is even higher where it should have been $129.99 per month plus an additional $9.99 fee for the other phones, totaling about $170 per month. Additionally, I found out that by signing up for a new plan it would place me back to another 2 year contract. I was never told this. The last bill I received was over $650. Recently I found out thru my employer that I would get a prepaid phone. I called Sprint and told them I would need to cancel my service for 2 reasons: 1. My Company will be providing me with a phone and 2. I can no longer afford a bill of over $650. The last encounter happened on December 18th, I spoke with manager Juan Carlos, employee id: JU309679 and I asked him to close the account. An argument took place and he was refusing to close it. I felt harassed by this person as he continuously kept interrupting me to tell me about the termination fees and argued as to why I opened an account with sprint a few months ago and why was I closing it. I informed him that the account had been opened longer than a few months and again I went on to explain why I needed closed. I did ask for his manager and I was told he was busy and I was transferred to voice mail where I left a message. I was aggravated by this person. Also I need to add that Sprint was supposed to be giving me a 20% discount for the monthly plan, however, they never did. They have been adding bogus charges to my account since the very first bill and though I have been calling them often to inquire about these charges they give me the run around and most of the time they hang up on me. I have called Sprint numerous times to no avail. As of January 21, I have not been able to resolve any of the issues and when I call and ask for a manager they tell me that the manager is on another line, leave a message and they will call back. I am yet to be contacted by anyone at Sprint other than being slammed with the latest delinquency letter from one of Sprint’s Agencies. Please note that the agency has also been notified of the legitimacy of the debt and I am disputing it with them as well. Also, on December 19th I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Sprint has not only ignored me but also them, they are ignoring. They just don’t seem to care at all. Please help me with this matter.
