When online and reviewing my UK bank account statement, I noticed a debit card charge of UK£1.62 (US$2.50) payable to CFFASUPPORT.com. I didn't recognise this charge and rang my UK bank to dispute the charge. The bank's customer service agent told me about another unrecognized charge from a company called MyEastCGHelp.com for $39.95 (UK£25.84). I was also told that the bank would raise a 'disputed charge' against each of these transactions. The bank's customer service agent then told me to stay on the line while he forwarded my call to the company that had raised the charge. I was put through to a telephone agent who said he worked for a company called 24/7Support which is a payment intermediary for both CFFASUPPORT.com and MyEastCGHelp.com. He gave me the email address for MyEastCGHelp.com. The response to my subsequent email said they had charged me $39.95 for a subscription I had (allegedly) taken out to a 'health & beauty information website' called African Mango Boost. I have never ever subscribed to such a site. Meanwhile, my bank is investigating the charge.
