A man called my mother about 2 weeks ago saying she had won $1000 certificate to purchase anything from local retailers like walmart because her phone number was selected in a drawing. I am not sure of all the details, but when my mother said that they asked her to pay a fee for insurance, i knew it was a scam. I told her insurance does not cost this much. She said that they kept on calling her to see if she has received the delivery which supposely included the gift certificate. She missed the delivery, but told me today that she went ahead and got the order and it was a scam. I am so mad at her for not listening to me, but i guess she learned her lesson, if anyone knows how we can sue them, please let me know. I will greatly appreciate. Everyone leaving their comments is very helpful and hopefully anyone in the future will not have to deal with this.
