This summer I booked a week at The Caravan Club site at Henley on Thames. I have a dog, and the deciding factor when choosing that site was that their sites directory stated it had a "DOG WALK". When I arrived I found that the so called "DOG WALK" consisted of a small fenced off area measuring 50 ft by 20 ft. There was nowhere else to excercise my dog, and the road out side was fast, and dangerous, with broken areas of narrow pavement each no more than fifty yards long.
The club are planning to improve the "Dog Walk" next year, so they clearly recognise the current "Dog Walk" is inadequate, and in my view a JOKE! ; yet when I complained they refused me any level of a refund. I would NOt have booked this site had I known the size of the so called "Dog walk". I have been a member of the Caravan Club for forty years, and I have found the attitude of their Regional manager to be unacceptable on this occasion. I feel they CONNED me into booking that site, and I am not alone as their Visitor Book commEnts will show. John J. Jones / Member No. 02196098
