I entered into a contract with a company called EZDebt, which in turn turned out to be Mapleleafhelpers.com. They turned me over to Silverthorne & Lubolover. I was to pay $820.00/mth that was to go into a trust account that I was supposed to have access to so I could see where my monies were going to pay off my debts. I never did see the monies, the creditors still kept calling and saying that no one from this office had contacted them to negotiate for me. Then I noticed about a month ago that the name of the company taking my money every month had changed to Cockburn & Assoc. About 3 weeks later I received an email saying that I had to fill out all these forms again and get them notarized all within 2 weeks or else. They never did say what the or else was but they made it sound very dire. I contacted a few non-profit organizations and was told that I should put a stop payment on my account which I automatically did. I sent an email to Cockburn & Assoc. And asked for my money to be returned to me as they had not paid any of my creditors and the amount they had could have paid off at least two of them. I have not heard back from them.
