My name is Deanne, a mother and wife. My husband can not work because he is disabled. We were struggling to pay our debts, so we decided to find a prograhm that could help us get out of debt.
We searched on the Internate and found Gibson Trust. I called and set up an appointment to speak with one of their counslers.
They sound so good, telling me that in 45 months I would be debt free! They faxed their contract, and I read it and on August I signed it.
They told me that the first payment would set up the account and that once I was paid up with all our creditors this money would be returned to us, they claimed to be a Not-FOr-Profit 501 3Corporation, but they still charged us $57.37 which was included with our monthly payment of $332.00.
The next payment would go to all my creditors. So I send them our money. They said it would take a month to get the proposal in. So that of course made us behind on our payments to them.
Once all my creditors recieved our propsal I thought we were home free. The method of payment was automaticly taken out of my checking account. But then I would get calls that they had not received payment or that the payments were received late.
When I called Gibson Trust with this concern the said that they hold our check for 7 days and then send payment, I asked them what can we do to get the payment to my creditors on time.
They told me to start sending a money order that they process those faster, so I did. With no avail, the payments were still getting to the creditors late, I even overnighted all my payments.
On November 5, I sent my regular payment to them, and then I received accouple of notice came in, past due for November, we cgot a call form one of our creditors that they have taken us off their program. They took our November payment of $332.00!!
I called Gibson Trust on Noevember 25,26, 27. I got no answer. I went on their site, it said no site was found. Then to my horror I saw that there were complaints filed against this Company, and I wanted to tell my story. We want justice. Please do not let this company get away with this.
