I am very dissappointed on how Microsoft manages the licensing of the newly launched Windows 8. Recently, I have bought a new Asus laptop and the configuration got screwed up and I am unable to boot into Windows 8. Then I went into recovery mode and it requested for the installation disc. As you know, laptops are preloaded and how the licensing works is the manufacturer needs to maintains a database together with Microsoft on the licensing. After I send my new laptop back to the service centre, there are now idling - between Microsoft and Asus. Can't Microsoft freaking improve the process? Your way of locking down your revenue is too cumbersome for the genuine customers. And with the major change from Windows 7 to Windows 8? If I need to spend time learning it again, I might as well learn and pickup Apple LION OS or LINUX rather than Windows! For goodness sake! Please.
