This man contacted me on a dating site, said he was working on a oil rig in Scotland, but he was going to be resigning to go back to California to live as that was where he was from, he was a widow and had a Daughter who was staying with her Grandmother in Italy, after chatting for hours on messenger, the plan was for him to come meet with me the he would go home get his daughter then come back to the UK to spend some time with me. We chat for about a month and he made me feel so comfortable with him I could talk to him about anything, we started to make fruitier plans and I was so drown in as this was everything I have been looking for in my life. One day as we were talking he said a call was coming through so he put me on hold, when he got back to me was with a ho my gosh, my daughter had a accident and was rushed to hospital. He needed to send money for the hospital care of his daughter, but he could not do it from where he was on the oil rig, so if I could send it for him till he come see me that same week. I sent the money has he made me to feel so responsible about the child she id your daughter she needs a mum, never had one has mum died in a car accident. The child got better and was sent back to grandmother, but had a little problem with her knee.
This went on for another month, until he ask if I could sen our daughter some money for her to go on a school trip to Nigeria to help out in the orphanages there, hr know this was a big thing of my heart, to help orphaned children.
I sent the £500, to a lady who he said was her teacher. About a week after sending the money the child was in Africa.
He was now coming to be with me that weekend, then he would go home to California to get things sorted for his daughters return, on the Thursday before coming to be with me he got a call that his daughter was rushed to hospital because she has dislocated he injured knee and would need immediate treatment or she could loose her leg. After that I got a email telling me he was in Nigeria with his daughter and was sorry we could not meet up, but he would be with me very soon. This was from March and he is still there, stuck cant get out of the country. I have been sending money for the to stay in a hotel, for the draughts daily medical bills has she needed the knees massaged each day, for money for weekly food and water,
then the ticket had expired so they needed to get a ticket to Heathrow, I paid for that then when they got to the airport they could not travel they needed vaccines, which had to be paid for.
I keep telling him to go to the American embassy, but he keep telling me everyone in Nigeria a crooks and they don’t like Americans so his life would be in danger.
Then one day he told me he was on his way, so I must stay by my phone so when he got to Heathrow he would call me to come pick him up.
I did get the call but not from him, it was meant to be a immigration officer to inform me that he was been held for money laundering, has he had a massive cheque on him.
Few days he called saying they had sent him back and he needed a certificate to say he's not money laundering but the cheque was his life savings. I spent 3 months raising £3,000 to get the certificate, then we had another problem, he was kidnapped and all his documents was taken off him, but he managed to escape and needed to move to Abuja for safety.
Kept sending money for their travel from Lagos to Abuja and for hotel.
Then they were to leave got to the airport and he said they found marijuana in his bag, but he don’t know how it got there, but he think its away for them to get money out of him as he was an American. He was placed in the airport custody, and he was given a lawyer,
still sending money to the man I was sending the money to each week was Call Karo Johnson, he would collect the money and give it to Gary Gibson each week. Know he was collecting it and taking care of Gary's daughter, and was taking food for Gary. Evey week for 4 weeks he was been taken to court, then he said his lawyer told him to try and escape, it dose not look good and because he was am American they want him to pay, so he struck a deal with the lawyer to pay him am amount when he got away and get to the Uk to cash his cheque.
He got away and was in hiding at Karo's village. Still sending money for them to eat and for the generator so they could have light in the house. March this year I started to here about people getting scammed and I read a story that was similar to mine, and realised that I was being scammed, I spoken to Gary about this and hs made me feel so bad, that because he was in a bad situation and trust me to help him out I an now accusing him of such a thong. I felt bad about it for a while but I could not go on the way I have been going, I have got myself in so much debt for this man I have not meet and I had to become hard and stop, it was killing me.
He is still in Nigeria, and he wants me to get him and his daughter tickets to go home to California. I had to delete him out of my life and my messenger account, I don’t want to hear from him ever, unless he's going to pay me back my money. I am in so much debt because of this Man. I really loved the way he made me feel and all the plans we talked about for when we meet. But know I know it is never going to happen. He go's by the name Gary Gibson posing has a white American with a Daughter age 13or 14, originally from Long beach California, a widow lost his wife in a automobile accident, lost his parents in a automobile accident when he was 10 or 15 and was raised by his only aunty.
Please lady's be careful, this is the first time I have spoken about this has I have felt so ashamed to let anyone know that I have been scammed.
