Someone pretending to be Chris Middlebrook from C & A Friedlander Attorneys in South Africa emailed me the other day about withdrawing funds to the effect of £30,000, 000 which I thought was great. As I delved futher into things and did a bit more research, the person mentioned above does exist and is a current lawyer practicing with this firm.
When the emails kept coming saying 'you must keep this confidential' and 'no one must know about this' alarm bells started ringing.
So I started with the lawyers firm and decided to email the lawyer involved and let him know that a possible defamation of character fraud was happening with his name being misrepresented. His company email didn't match the email, address he was emailing me on and neither did the number and his excuse was 'we cannot process claims that big through the business as it alerts the authorities and besides he was my PRIVATE client'. But is that not the role of working as a lawyer in a firm, to go through the office legitimately to charge for work???
I then checked the phone numbers, they didn't match with the lawyers firm either. I then did a background check for an article about the death and nothing existed, also checking for death certificates. Lo and behold, NOTHING!!!
I sent my number thru to them so they could spend their money on me, they only called me once.
They eventually sent their bank documents through but it is funny how it came from Chris Middlebrook and not the bank even though I was corresponding with the bank at that stage. Weird
