I am filing a complaint against Time warner Cable. The other day I reieved a post card in the mail, telling me that a $3.95 charge will be imposed on me for the rental fee of the modem that was supplied to me free of charge about 7 months ago when I signed up for internet. Is this a fair practice for company to impose a fee after they told me it was free of charge when I signed up for the internet? The manner in which I recieved the notice on a post card with no return phone number on it, was also insulting. I complained to the company about this practice. Their answer was that I can also buy my own modem. If I don't wish to pay the fee they are imposing. I don't think it's fair.
