I ordered an iPad from the company, HongKong Aroa-shop Electronic Trade Co., Ltd., early this month. I was instructed by Lincoln Guo, the manager, to send the payment to HongYing Zhu using Western Union.
On Oct. 5, I sent the amount of $142. On the same day, I received an e-mail from Mr. Guo saying that the iPad had been shipped. He gave me the DHL tracking number 8763634469.
On Oct. 6, I got another e-mail from Mr. Guo informing me that the package was placed on hold at customs. He said that customs would not release it until the import tax equivalent to 100% of the value of the iPAD.
On Oct. 7, I sent the amount of $142 to cover the tax.
After sending the additional money, I never heard from Mr. Guo again. Repeated e-mails to him have remained unanswered.
