I signed up for childrens book of the month club only because it was one of those offers where you get so many books for a buck and no obligations to continue membership after that. Well I ended up paying the 41.10 that i owed and cancelled my membership. The representative that i talked to on the phone said, 'not a problem' and cancelled my account.
I just received a bill from a collection agency saying that I owe 98.19. That's including the 41.10 that i already payed. The letter says i have a 'contract' that says i was OBLIGATED to buy a certain amount of books. So i got charged for books i don't even have.
I was told i have 5 days to fix the problem or pay the money. Wouldn't you know that Childrens BOMC has no phone number to contact them on their website. I'm stuck now. I don't have the money to pay and i don't have anything that says i cancelled because i did so 7 or 8 months ago.
