The National Association of Homebuilders would like the public to think they are a homebuyers best buddy. But read this article telling how disappointed the NAHB is that congress did not let them change the law so that developers could build on contaminated ground, (brownfields), and sell without disclosing, with NO liability:

This industry has shown that it cannot be trusted to regulate itself, and that homeowners are being stripped of their rights. The NAHB pays lobbyists and lawyers to erode laws, like this one on contaminated ground, while homeowners only have unpaid volunteers, (who are not professional politicians or lawyers), looking out for them. The public needs to know what is going on behind our backs, and speak up about it!
