I am still in shock.
We called and got a price from Matt on a casket and were told $1195.00, free shipping, which by the way is plastered all over the site. We discussed it and decided to call back and order. We should have taken a moment to research complaints on this company. There are a ton! We called back, placed the order, and were then told that the casket would cost an additional $500 to ship! A bit shell shcoked, we agreed and hung up.in about 30 mins, we decided that this was not right. We found the same exact casket on another site for 400 less and that was with us paying shipping. We called back to cancel and it was a nightmare. I have never been treated so cruelly in all my life. I was in the process of burying my mother and was very upset to begin with.
Even as I type this it is going to sound unbelievable, but it has to be said.
Upon calling back, we got Matt (again) and told him we wanted to cancel. He flew off the deep end and flat out told us no. We ofcourse, told him what we found elsewhere and he began a tirade that I still can hear. F this and F that, never had I heard someone speak like this, let alone a company. I was in tears so I had to give the phone to my dad. He just lost his wife of 40 years so one would think some compassion would be in order. Not the case. He screamed at him as well until we finally just hung up on him. Both in shock, we called the CC company and told them the situation and they assured us the charge would be disputed if it came through. Matt called atleast a dozen more times after that screaming profanity and threatening us. He finally said that he was charging us a re-stock fee no matter what and to F'ing deal with it.
I am just so upset over this ordeal, that I still shake from it. Who does that? To a grieving woman on top of it?
PLEASE, PLEASE do not order from them. I am seeing what I can do to have them investigated. I have all the voicemails from him to help the claim.
We thankfully did order from another website and they were so nice. It arrived on time and was beautiful. And $429 less. It was the same exact casket.
Matt should be charged and his site taken down.
