I have Medicare part B, and full United Health Care Supplemtanl Ins. Any medical office that accepts Medicare MUST, by law, change the Medicare Fee. Additionally, it is unlawful to ask me for a Medicare copay when I have full Supplemental Coverage. I was told I must pay them, so did, and that my Supplemental would reimburse me. I called my Supplemental Ins Co, as I have worked in Medical Office Billing and know the law, and was told they are PROHIBITED from asked me for one dime. It's their job to bill both Medicare and Supplemental. So now, they have my copay, and will also be getting the fee for the Supplemental. They told me, I would be reimbursed by Supplemental. This is completely untrue according to my Suppllemental Ins Co. They send funds out only to the biller, i.E. Billing office.
