Campers World
Scam by Ned Brown for Camper World Camping

Beware of this scam through Campers World. We were staying at The Oasis RV resort in Las Vegas, November of We dealt with A salesman named Ned Brown he works for Campers World, if we attended his sales pitch it gave us Several days for free at the park we were at, they are not affiliated with campers world. That should have been our first clue that something was not right. Oasis RV park Is a very very nice camp ground park, and was top rate in every respect. Other than they let this scam operate from there front lobby.

It sounds like a great deal, You get several days free camping if you set through the sales pitch, He even told us he could get us free camping at the Oasis park at later times if we came back and it sounds great.

You are told you are getting hundreds of camping locations, all across the United States under several camping groups. He shows big charts showing several different groups under one umbrella all having hundreds of locations. The two big ones where RPI and Coast to Coast, Discounts on cruses, Condos, Time share type housing, RV parks exc. All for the buy in price of approximately $5000.00 one time fee and a yearly fee of $150.00 not to exceed $200.00 ever for the whole package.

We even told Ned Brown we would not be using our home base park because we lived in Michigan, we are snow birds and it is a long distance from Utah and the home park as well as being very cold in the winter when we use our RV.

We found the program we thought we bought helpful with in the first year. But even with in that time we found that most of the southern parks that are listed in the books and on their web pages are closed to our membership during the winter months, again something he does not tell you. Before you pay and sign up you do not have access to the web pages showing the parks are closed to Campers world rates. No way of finding this out before hand.

Many times these closed parks to our membership take dozens and dozens of parks and locations in a state down to only a few during the winter. Believe me the ones left to our winter time use are not the four star parks he shows you, if you try to use your membership rates, again he did not tell us about this.

Then you find out a year later and start getting several membership renewals that it is a total scam and you really only bought a membership in a few local resorts in Utah, and only under the campers world membership. During the presentation we were told that there were several different groups that had been taken into the campers world program that where all under the same umbrella at one cost.

All the paper work with headers of all these various groups have the same prices we paid, even the yearly fees match. We were told that the yearly fee that was guaranteed to us not to go over $200.00 a year covered all of them. It turns out It does not cover anything other than Campers World and we have not gotten a bill from them yet. So who knows what that will be?

All the rest of the places he tells you that comes with the package really do not after the first year. It will cost you each year separately for each of the different RPT, coast to coast, plus the original camper world resorts That would be almost $500.00 a year for what he tells you is that approximately $150.00 yearly cost. At the $500.00 price a year it is not even close to being worth the price if you continue with all that was originally promised, And that is only what we have found out so far. We have found out that we have not even gotten our campers world bill yet, and we understand from other postings that goes up almost every year.

At the time we agreed to join we told him we lived in Michigan we would not use the home parks at all or very little. He very clearly told and showed us on all of his charts and books that all these other parks we could use much closer to our location and much warmer locations. We would have never bought into the program if we had known that none of the rest was included. Or that with that membership the only parks we could use under it was half way across the United States and very cold in the winter. It is like throwing $5000.00 right out the window.

What a scam. I have called and tried to talk to Ned Brown and never gotten a call back Big surprise. And we are still waiting for a call back from Campers world, everyone I have talked to so far pass the buck. But by postings I have found on the internet my guess is they will not back up anything their Employee told us, We did find out he still works for them.

Beware as it is said if it seems too good to be true it usually is.
