On the above date, I had my oil changed at this service station (40Hunterhorn dr ne) and when I went to pick up the car I was told I should change the transmission fluid and got a written quote of $432.80. They showed me a sample of what the fluid should look like as opposed to what mine looks like. I consulted my manual and said it should be good up to 166,000 km and my car has only 50,000 km on it. To be better informed I called my brother who ran a service station for years and he said not to have it done as it is unnecessary. I later talked to my son who had his done when his vehicle had over 200,000 kms on it and it cost him under $50.00 at a jiffy lube place. I am a female in my sixties and feel I was being taken advantage of since I probably wouldn't take the time to get educated about this. I did go back to see them and they said it was only a recommedation and since it is done by technician maybe the mechanic would override it when I came back to have it done. I wasn't satisfied with this explanation and am afraid they have lost a customer and I don't want this to happen to some other unsuspecting older female.
