I purchased a dual fuel GE oven/stove a little over a year ago. The unit broke three times in the first year and I requested a replacement. They said they would fix it once and for all and honor the warranty beyond the first year should it break down again. Well, it broke again about 4-5 months later and just past the one year warranty period. I called GE and they left me on hold the better part of two hours. I requested the lead technician to come out again and they said he is assigned to a special project indefinitely and unavailable. They are blaming the electrical system in my home. However, we have had the city inspector out as well as a general contractor and electrical engineer. Other than GE, all agree the problem is with the appliance not the home. Also, all other appliances and electrical devices (including computers and the GE oven on the other side of the duplex) work fine.
