Poor Customer Service

Awful customer service. I used Dayton Landscaping for 3 months during the summer of 2012; they were maintaining the yard for our rental property. I made an agreement with Dayton Landscaping during May and we agreed they would cut the grass 2x per month. My monthly bill was $80.00 ($40.00 for each mow).in August they cut the grass 3x and charged $120.00. When I inquired as to why I was being charged $120.00, they started yelling and saying "You asked us to cut the grass every 2 weeks and that's what we're doing!" No, the agreement was to cut the grass 2x per month. When I emailed them a copy of our agreement, they refused to take any accountability. When they finally agreed to take off the additional $40.00, they said "Find another lawn service since you don't think we should get paid!" Then they went on to say" Whether it's every 2 weeks or 2x per month, it's all the same!" I was shocked! I never made such an accusation about not paying; I was just trying to make sure they were only going to cut my grass 2x per month. Additionally, there is a big difference between every 2 weeks and 2x per month; some months have 5 weeks and apparently this is where the argument resides. If Dayton Landscaping would have worked with the situation instead of becoming defensive and accusatory, they might have saved a customer. They could have just said something like" oh, I see the agreement. We made a mistake. How about we only cut your grass 1x in September to balance out the bill?" Spiro Karabalis and his customer service team at Dayton Landscaping never offered such a suggestion.instead, they yelled at me and denied the existence of our original agreement, despite seeing a hard copy of such agreement. So, I mailed off my final check for $120.00. I am paid in full, and I even paid for an extra mow that Dayton Landscaping wrongfully scheduled. Needless to say, I no longer use their services. Dayton Landscaping lost a customer because of their poor customer service and their tendency to want to nickel and dime their customers (me) despite an agreement which was made between the company and the customer. Who cuts a lawn 3x a month during a drought anyway? Good grief
