My situation is similar to those previously reported. I used Roomster with some success a couple of years ago, and when I moved again, I signed up for the two week subscription. I did not realize that it would automatically "enroll" me in a thirty dollar program after the initial subscription expired. I first disputed the charge with PayPal, but after reading mixed results on the internet I followed-up with a dispute directly to my bank. The bank was the first to refund the monies, followed a day or two later by PayPal. I don't know that the bank's actions affected PayPal's response, but I was not willing to wait to find out.
Fundamentally, despite "agreeing" to the charges outlined by Roomster's fine print, I felt justified in filing the dispute. I had no intention of subscribing to the service for longer than the two weeks as originally, misleadingly, contracted.
