Like a few other ladies that have fallen victim to this man, he started out with very nice emails, very normal. But parents were killed in a car accident, his best friend slept with his wife, so he was looking for someone special that wanted a one-on-one relationship. Sounds great, but be VERY LEERY. This man is a predator that is only after YOUR MONEY. There was the travel overseas, then suddenly a fire that he had to pay off officials so he could stay out of jail, then all is okay and he sent copies of his plane tickets to home (though not Beverly Hills, as his Match.com profile noted - match name was "mercyfulharry" but to Houston, Texas.By this time, ladies thank you for those that have filed on this complaint site, I had seen the complaints, and was waiting for his request to send money so he could get home.in between he also said that the tools he needed had been confiscated due to non-payment, and he really needed the money so that he could pay for the tools to keep his workers working and "get back home to me." (he was flying home to Texas, but I live in Los Angeles.) He would pay me back more than I leant to him. I refused to send him money, noting that I was upset and appalled he had asked. He tried another tact to make me feel bad about not sending it. That did not work either. The next day he sent information that his loan had come through, but to access the money in the offshore account, that account had to be linked up to a United States bank account. At this point, I checked with the police department. The FBI would handle this type of matter due to the possible interstate fraud (at least I believe that was why), but that unless real money was lost by me, and it was a "significant" amount of money, they unfortunately probably would not do much about it. So, I had his email address blocked from my system, and had his phone number blocked on my phone and for texting purposes. Ladies, this man is just bad news. He took 34 days from start to finish, and though I would not send a man I was not engaged or married to a dime, this is just a sad thing all around.
