I received a final notification letter from a company called Advanced Securities Group Inc informing me I had won a portion of the Mega Lottery conducted in the UK. It come in a Sears Financial Services envelope with a Canadian post mark. Along with the notice was a check written through Wells Fargo Bank out of San Francisco in the amount of $3,980.00. I wasn't to cash it until I called a claim agent named Samuel Page at 1-289-892-2781. Up go the flags! A tax payment of $1,995.50 due from me in advance? Excuse me? I don't play the lottery let alone one from a foriegn country! So there is no way I've won the Mega Lottery. Checking things out on the I-Net makes me wonder how stupid are these people? An obvious scam. I know of an investigative reporter at one of the local T.V. Stations who would probably love to sink his teeth into this one.
