Consumer Report

Advertised on Craigslist-13 pc bedrm set—ad answered by Brenda Williams—[email protected]—515-650-3043. Was told I had to go thru Paypal to receive money for my furniture. Then I got into a FAKE paypal website thru Brenda and was told I had to take $900.00 cash to Western Union & do a money transfer. My fees for this transfer was $76.00. I used Western Union @ Walmart in Irving off 635. The money was to be sent to: DONNA LaSHELL JACKSON @ 527 S Beltline Rd, Grand Prairie TX 75051. I had never used Craigslist, or Paypal or Western Union before. I am 69, kind of computer illerate, and got taken. NOT ONLY BY THIS PERSON, BUT BY A "GROUP" THAT IS WORKING TOGETHER, GETTING NAMES FROM CRAIGSLIST, USING A "FAKE PAYPAL" WEBSITE AND USING WESTERN UNION TO FRAUDENTLY RECEIVE MONEY FROM INNOCENT PEOPLE LIKE ME.
The other people I was taken by are: Peter Pane&[email protected]—850-564-3068— for 12 pc dining set I have for sale—first the money I had to send was $750.00 ($66.00 fee). Then an additional $1000.00 ($86.00 fee)—sent to: Brian Lewis, Kansas City MO 66111.

So between the 2 scammers, I am out $2878.00—Both of these people are still trying to contact my by texting. I finally wised up Thurs after sending off the last payments when I got home and Brenda wanted another $1300.00 and Peter wanted another $1000.00. I made copies of all my emails and I filed a police report with Irving Police Thurs nite around midnite. Fri I contacted PayPal Fraud Dept and they have started investigating. When I forwarded all my emails to the REAL PAYPAL, the investigator said that this group is really good, he would have believed he was dealing with the real thing too. Today I worked with Western Union and they are starting legal proceedures against all people involved. I got a message @ 5 am today wanting to know if I was still going to sell to them! I am ignoring all emails & texts from the thieves! One text wanted to know if I was DEAD OR ALIVE since I wasn't answering. Was very tempted to text back pretending to be my husband, telling them I had died of a heart attack because of them, and wanted all my money back. But I didn't. The police told me to ignore all communications from them. [email protected]
