I was surfing the internet yesterday looking for a puppy or kittens. I began by entering in the search engine kittens for adoption in Augusta, Ga. Asn classified came up. When you first bring up the site, it still looks legit, it asks you to choose a state, then a city. Just like any other classifies like ebay, the recycler ads, so I did. Wow up came up a list of all sorts of pedigree puppies, I thought there is no way I can afford these. I pressed on to read some of them. THEY WERE GIVING AWAY PUPPIES!!! What?! I came across an ad with a tea cup Pomeranian solid white here is the ad:

Two different ads yet the wording are verbatim. So I e-mailed them both and asked why their ads were so similar, and even asked if they were related, since they were both from augusta. I received no response. My first instinct was "Scam" but I believe in the benefit of the doubt. So I kept scrolling to the next ad. I did respond to an ad on an American bulldog, guess what it too was free all I had to pay was the shipping here was the response from the ad;

I am not one to give my personal information so freely so I kept asking questions, but their response was still asking for my personal information. So I moved on. I went to kittens and found this add about persian kittens, again for free, I responded to the ad and this was their response:

personality and will make perfect addition into your home. They are
trained to use the toilet and will not make a mess in the house. The
kittens are healthy vet checked and vaccinated and would come with all
health and registration documents.

here in New York for treatment because i was recently diagnosed with
Basal cell carcinoma involving the ear and i will be having a surgery
very soon. I really do not have much time to love and care for the
kittens because of my poor health situation. I will be sending the
kittens over to you from New York. All you will have to pay is the
transportation fee of the kittens that will cost you $210 for one or $410
for two and only $570 for the 3 kittens. You shall pay the shipping fee
directly to the airport. It will be a few hours flight and you shall receive

The shipping process is very easy, you don't have to pay the shipping fee to me. You will have to pay the money directly to the shipping agency after i reserve a flight for the kitten at the airport. Notice he kept pressing for my personal information. So i asked him, if he is giving away the kittens, why not give them away locally, I was sure someone in New York City could provide them a good home. Here was his response:
As i earlier told you, i was recently diagnosed with Basal cell carcinoma involving the ear and i will be having a surgery very soon. The main reason why i don't want to re-home the kittens here in New York is because i don't want to be closed to the kittens anymore. If i am near the kittens, i might as well want to get them back one day and that will be a betrayal. If you are interested to provide a home for the kitten, just get back to me with the information i previously asked so that i can take the kitten to the airport for flight reservation.

Finally I came across this web site with all the complaints of scam. So I emailed him back telling him vaguely what I had discovered. He never responded again.
Please beware!!! People do not have pedigrees to give them away. Even with there sad stories. I had read complaints and several have threaten to go to the FBI on this, has anyone done so? Or reported to the BBB? I can tell you I WILL
