This company is posing as my company on Craigslist and placing fake employment ads for positions at our company that are not available presumably to obtain personal information from "applicants". They are not authorized to advertise on our behalf, and we don’t accept resumes from them or from any other third party vendor without a prior written agreement. Moreover, they have been running this ad for months collecting who knows how much personal information under the guise of an authorized recruiting firm, but they have never even attempted to send us a resume. However, they are using copy from actual ads we have run in the past, and they are using our company name.
There is no way to measure actual monetary damage but your form requires an amount and it certainly isn’t zero. The damage to our reputation, and the amount of time I spend dealing with calls and emails from confused applicants is significant not to mention the damages to victims. I have no idea what this company does with the personal information they collect from people through fraudulent means, but I suspect many unfortunate job seekers have fallen into their trap. It is just awful what some people will do for a buck these days. I think it is especially bad that they are taking advantage of people who are looking for work.
