I wish to report a Western Union money transfer scam against Randy Moses. [email protected],
I think I may have been a victim of a Western Union wire transfer scam. I met a man on Match.com on 8/5, he said his name was Randy Moses. He lived in Nashville, TN and was working in K. Lupar Mylasia for 3 weeks as a commercial contractor building an orphange under his private company: Ramos Building Contractor. WE talked for several days, and then yesterday 8/10 he sent me a copy of the paycheck he was suppose to have received for the contract work for $850000. This check which I have a copy of was a bank draft from JP Morgan Chase: number: Ooo21694 0130593346 0107080000:011. He said he tried to cash it and could not because of some international banking issues. He said the hotel manager, Jerome Daniels, wanted to be paid for the hotel room that day. Since he had no cash to pay for the room he wanted to know if I could send $1000 the hotel manager to pay his bill. I asked why he didn't use a credit card, he said that he had maxed out his cards paying for the contract job. Could i please help and he would pay me back with inerest when i pick him up at the McGhee Tyson Airport. I had agreed to pick him up on 8/24 at 11:00pm. He sent me a copy of his flight plan to show when and what time he would arrive here in Knoxville, TN. I felt sorry for him and sent the money via Western Union to Jerome Daniels, the hotel manager to pay the hotel bill. I started feeling uncomfortable yesterday after i sent the money and told him so. Last night he sent me an Yahoo IM message trying to reassure me that you would pay me back when he got to Knoxville, TN. He spent hours trying to get me to trust him again.
Then this morning I got an IM message from him and he said that the people there at the hotel were mad and crazy, because his hotel bill was really $2000. He said he needed me to do another Western Union money transfer to the hotel manager, Jerome Daniels. They (the hotel manager, Jerome Daniels) said if he didn’t pay he (Randy Moses) would be kicked out on the street, arrested and put in jail, and his flight detail would be taken away. I knew then this was a scam. I told him no way, no more money and I proceeded to explain to him that I thought this was a scam. He begged and begged me to send him another $1000 to pay the bill so that he would not get in trouble. About 25 minutes or more of this back and forth of me saying I don’t have any more money nor do I want to send any more money. When I finally got the message across that I wasn’t sending a more money to the hotel manager, he said “I will not talk with someone who does not care about me and will not help me” I told him fine, When can I expect to get my $1000 back. I asked if he really did have a flight back to Tennessee if so I would meet him at the airport and go and get my money. He did not reply back to me. And I haven’t heard from him today.
I want to report a scam of using the Western Union to transfer money to a hotel manager, Jerome Daniels at the request of Randy Moses in Mylasia. Whether they are one in same person or working together, I do not know. But this is a scam using a hotel in Mylasia as a fraud.
