I hired Quest Construction, a general contractor for 25 years, as advertised in the "Greensheet" advertiser paper, to do a reroof job on my home. David K. Moore presented himself as a very legitimate contractor, brought materials, had employees here, the whole ball of wax. I contacted the Better Business Bureau there were no records on his company good or bad.
I reimbursed the contractor materials cost, a check for $2200, which I found out was an inflated cost for the materials brought to my home. He called the next day and tried to jack up the price on my roof repair, which I declined. Told David Moore that if he couldn't do the job for the amount we agreed on, as written on the contract, he would have to return my money and pick up the supplies he brought over. He said he would be over in two hours, he never showed up again and has not returned any further phone calls from myself or the Balch Springs police department.
On one of the occasions when I called, his wife answered the phone and told me that this is not the first time David Moore has ripped off a consumer.!
I know my money is probably gone, but maybe we can help someone else from getting taken by this man.
