We purchased a beautiful unit in Mexico because we were assured our current timeshare could easily be sold, thus covering the cost of the unit. However after 5 months of faxing paperwork and money to cover various costs we were told today, our supposed closing day, that we needed to send quite a lot of money to pay Mexican IVA tax and also a registration tax. When I spoke to Susan Miller two weeks or so ago when the closing was set up she assured me there would be no additional costs. Have we been scammed?
