I also received the $1,396.40 check. I established a separate bank accout to ensure my personal funds were separate from my 'business' funds. With the returned check charge and the monthly bank account charges, I'm $42.00 in the hole. I called my contact person and was notified that that number was no longer in service. Then I found this web site and saw that this was all a scam. I've closed the account, but it still cost me money.
