PODS is that "between" option, costlier than a U-Haul for moving, but very cost-effective compared to conventional moving companies. I am so grateful I chose it. I couldn't have been more pleased. The POD container was in great shape. The contract had been explained in detail - and in print. Much of the business was transacted on-line, but the great thing was the phone contact. I was informed when the driver was bringing - and removing - the POD on both ends of a long-distance haul. The drivers also called to let me know they were within an hour of the destination. The customer service people were super. The drivers were super. Everything worked out perfectly. Even though I packed everything myself, and pretty much jammed everything in a 7x7, absolutely NOTHING got broken. I knew the concept was great. Now I know the service was great, too! Hat's off to PODS. Wow.
