I was on the weather channel website and saw an article on how ecigs are much safer then regular cigarettes and at the bottom of the article was posted a one day exclusive offer for $4.95 for a starter kit that it said was only available to 100 people from Emerald lux. I thought it was to good to be true but after clicking and searching for any hidden fee's on all pages that required order and CC information I could find none, so i went ahead and placed my order. I received my package a few days later which contained the product but no order form, receipt, or even a packing a slip. There was nothing saying that I would be charged another $114.95 in 14 days after ordering anywhere in my package or anywhere during my order process. The really messed up part is that it didn't even say it was a trial offer. It only said get your starter kit for $4.95 which was an absolute lie. The starter kit ended up costing me the $4.95 (which I paid for a trial apparently) more then the $114.95 they advertise the product for on their website. I am absolutely outraged and want my money back. The worst part is I am on vacation in OH and am left with $50 in my bank account to get me back to MD where I live which I dont think will even cover gas. I contacted my bank and they said they cant do anything til the transaction is processed (which takes 1-3 days) and I was planning to leave tomorrow. I dont have money for a hotel or anything and I dont know what to do. Emerald Lux is a SCAM and should be sued and shut down for good. I called them and they said they could give a refund of only $30 since my trial period had expired, but I NEVER signed up for a trial, just a $4.95 one day exclusive offer for a starter kit, which was BS. I even spoke with the manager and he was a complete A-hole and was of no help. I'm glad to see I'm not alone, I just want my money back and I'm hoping my bank can help me out by tomorrow, as I need to get home! So to all, beware emerald lux is a complete scam and should be shut down and the owners arrested for fraud cause thats the crime their company is committing. can somebody please help me?! I just want my money back so I can get home!
