Ok, so I applied for a position on craigslist, it's not a first for me that how I became gainfully employed currently. Some employers don't put their company name, and I usually don't think anything of it but boy oh boy not now. Like so many others I got that e-mail that said I was a good canidate, HR going on vacation, write down code blah, blah, blah nonsense. Well as soon as I got the company name I did what I usually do when I see the company LOOK IT UP. I am kind of glad I did, kind of because I see it is a SCAM, and not kind of because they have my resume. They now have my name, address and phone number. I AM FREAKING OUT! Though, I dont feel so alone seeing everyone else with the same worry. I also didn't go on any further, because I wanted to look it up first. I am wondering what sort of fall out I am going to experience with this. My only saving grace that my legal first name is not the one I go by, but still they have everything else. I will myself and ask everyone else to be more vigilant when sending info for want adds. I am deleting my address on my resume right now, and making sure I only send my contact number. I never thought I would have to worry about this. Hopefully they don't do anything with the info collected.
