I received a phone call with "private caller" on the caller ID. The individual tried to convince me that I was eligible for an $8000 government grant simply because of filing my income tax regularly. He called it a "social grant." I asked for his name and title and he said "Winston Frost, Campaign Coordinator."
He told me that I needed to pay a $249 processing fee and they would send me the legal paperwork I needed to sign and then I would get my grant within 3 to 8 months. I told him that I work for the federal government. I also told him that government grants do not require a processing fee and that if he was working for a company that was NOT on the up-and-up, he could get himself in a lot of trouble. He immediately hung up!
