Defective Yokohoma Tire

I called the Toyota Dealer before I drove to Knoxville, TN. I explained in detailed what my complaint was, I was told to go ahead and come to their site and they would look at the tire. I had purchased 4 new tires from Toyota of Knoxville back in which I paid over 600.00 for, I also purchased and paid cash for my 2007 Toyota Yaris. I drove to Knoxville on a bad tire which took me an hour. When I got to the place the salesman came over and took my keys and asked me what the problem was, I explained in detailed what the problem was. I felt that the tire was defective and wanted them to check it, the salesman came over and put his hands around the tire and said it looked like it was a broken belt, I said ok what can you do for me and if it's defective can you at least check and see what you can do. He left me standing there and went back into the office, a few minutes later came back and said his boss said the only think he could do was to knock 10 dollars off the new price of a tire. I was very upset and told him I wasn't going to pay 150.00 for a tire that was defective from the beginning. He then said sorry that's all they could do and that he would pull my call around for me. I asked him how would he feel if I left there and had a wreck because of this defective tire, he said he was sorry but they would not be responsible. Here I was an hour away from home with a bad tire, I was very upset. I then asked the man for the main mans name, he gave me a number and said I could call him. I said how long to talk to him now, he said he was talking to a big wig from Toyota and I would probably have to wait for an hour or longer if I wanted to see him. I left there almost in tears and very afraid to drive back home. I called the place back and was connected to the main mans office, his secretary answered and her name was Lori White, she was nice and tried to help, I explained to her that I was far away from home and trying to drive back on a bad tire she said she would have someone call me, I waited for over an hour and it was getting dark, I never got a call from anyone. The next morning around 10am I got a call from someone from there telling me the solution they had come up with and it was this. I was told to drive back to Knoxville of Toyota on this bad tire and they would check the tire out and see if it was defective if it was defective they would need my maintenance report stating that I had rotated my tires every 5 000 miles and then they would decide if it was feasible for them to get me another tire. But what they would do if it was caused by something other than a defective tire they would sale me 2 tires at cost which was $114 each. Toyota says they are big on customer service but when I walked away from that place, being a female and by myself and had to drive for an hr in the dark on a bad tire I was very disappointed in the Toyota customer service. I wasn't asking for a handout I was asking for help with something that could have cost me my life, I think Toyota needs to treat their customer with more kindness and concern. Not just trying to get the almighty dollar. I am very disappointed with this car dealership and service area. I was going to by my next vehicle from them but because of the way they treated me I will let others know that this is not a good place to do business.
