Today I went out and found that my debit card had been declined, multiple times. I then proceeded to go home and check my account. I found multiple charges to my card.
1) Playsiteworld - $8.34
2) SportsDirect - $319.61
3) Udemy - $35
I then immediately called my card holder and they were very polite and started the claim process. I am getting a new card in a few days and the money will be refunded.
One tip would be to opt OUT of overdraft. If I had overdraft I would have had fees and who knows how much more they could have taken.
I am filing a police report tomorrow and would suggest that to anyone who has had a similar issue.
