For the last 2 days a representative from online public yellowpages has been calling my company saying that I had an overdue invoice for online advertising. When I called to say I had never received an invoice or authorized this advertising they played a recording of one of my employees 'authorizing' this transaction. Fortunately I know this employee would never authorize this expenditure without my knowledge though the representative suggested that he would say this to 'cover himself'. I'm sure they call to 'verify' company information such as phone number address etc. And they then dub in different questions. Their threat of sending this to collections has fallen on deaf ears. They need prosecuting for causing stress and it could even result in someone losing their job.
