Ripoff contact by phone one time fee $279.00 from checking withdrawal was made on 8/19/04 Still no response from this company Help get my money back Champlain

I was contacted by phone and a man went through the details of a credit card promotion. Required a one time fee of $279.00, which was withdrawan on 8/19/04. Still no respones from this company. Needs to be stopped and I need to get my money back.

The man is very detailed in description of the credit card, makes you think it's legi, etc. The people need to be stopped.
