I am a centre link customer who has recently just lost all but 71 dollars a fortnight of my family paments which includes $25 rent asistance even though the amount of rent i pay aint changed due to a over payment in family payments at re payments of $295 per fortnight which i was not notified of till i rang the department of family payments myself. Chid matinence action has just been put through and a 50/50 care change has also gone through which is also stated on 3 letters i had received over the month of may into early june from the family payment department which 2 of the letters being recived after noticing myself the loss of money on my pay days from my bank account. I have been told that my normal amount of family payment will start as of july but until then the amount of debt repayment will stay the same as they are unable to stop it as it the computer automatically doing it. This could result in my children and i being thrown out onto the streets as this months rent will be hard to pay with only $71 in family payments. I do received newstart and am on medical due to servere depression but after my other bills come out i only left with $375. I have tried to sort this myself with centre link and have been advised by the department of child protction to contact you for help with the matter after i had no choice but to turn to them for help.
