I guess I got took according to this badbusiness web site. A couple days ago a rather boisterous teen girl stopped with the same song & dance about winning a trip to the Bahamas and raising money to go to college. I let her in to look over the mag list and she proceeded to carry on, bugging my husband and asking us personal questions. I bought a subscription that ended up costing more than I would normally pay but this girl talked so fast and I was very busy so I wrote her a check. That stupid Bug-off thing she tapped to the door I ripped off immediately then regretted giving her a check. She lied about her dad living in this town as I tried to look her up in the phone book. Debating whether to stop payment on the check. I'm still within the 3 days to mail back the receipt for a refund—has anyone done this and actually gotten the refund? The stop payment cost is less than the check I wrote. I'm leary of these people and what I read about them here.
