I was telephoned by this company at home. They asked me about any loans I had. When I mentioned I had a Northern Rock loan in the past they told me there was a possibility that I had been given payment protection without me knowing. They were very persuasive and I stupidly gave them my Credit card details. They immediately took £569.24 out of my account. They sent me a contract to fill in and receipt for the money taken from the Credit card. I had misgivings and rang this company a few days later saying I did not wish to proceed. They told me to write them a letter acknowledging this fact and they would refund the money taken. That was the last time I was able to contact anyone at that firm either by letter or phone. Later I found that the Ministry of Justice had struck them off. I signed nothing and still have unsigned forms and contracts which I never sent back to this company. I tried to get this money back by asking MBNA to make a charge back and when that failed I asked would they get this money back under section 75 of the Consumer Credit act as I regarded this as goods paid for but not recieved, but they refused my request. This amount of money finally put me over into debt and I have been struggling with this ever since. Can't seem to get help anywhere.
