Received a letter stating I won a sweepstakes drawing for $28,500.00. The letter had numerous spelling errors and typos. Enclosed was a check for $3,679.00. I was curious and called the number (improperly formatted) and the call was answered by someone I could hardly understand. They told me all I needed to do was pay $2,987.32 for processing and insurance. When I asked what the insurance and processing charge was for the gentleman became a little angry. I asked about the letter format and he said he did not know what I was talking about. I am curious to see what they send me next. I plan to follow up with my bank on the check and file formal complaint next week.
