Zip Local
After my $1000 deposit zip local pulled out of the Orlando, Fl. Area, before my ad was drafted. They fired all of there staff and had no contact persons in Orlando, (local right). We ask to have a sales rep meet with us so we could give them artwork. We were told no one would meet with us. We started doing some research and found a lot of complaints online. At this point we contacted Zip Local ask for deposit to be refunded and were no longer interested in advertising with them. We made it clear we did not want an ad in Zip Local. This was 3 months before going to print. As you can guess when the Zip scam Book came out there was an ad with our name on it but wrong Phone Number, wrong colors and services listed we don't even provide. As I was looking at other ad's of my same business, there it was another ad identical to the one with my company name, only a different name and phone number. I never approved a proof, after I gave my deposit I never saw a rep. They took my deposit, inserted a generic ad and they have their lawyer calling me.
