The Ramsey Group Unprofessional and untrustworthy business practices in recruiting

I have received two email messages inviting me to call for a job interview from both Blue Moon Marketing and from The Ramsey Group. Both identical. Here's the content of the messages:

"Greetings Dan,

I hope that you are having a wonderful day today. I am contacting you on behalf of The Ramsey Group, Inc. An authorized agent of AT&T U-Verse.

We have had the opportunity to review your resume and we feel like there is a potential fit for some of the positions that we have available in our company. After reviewing your qualifications, our management team has decided to invite you in for a face-to-face interview.

Please give our office a call as soon as possible to schedule your preliminary interview; we are available from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. We can be contacted at 407-420-2190. Please feel free to visit our website at www.theramseygroupinc.com

Sincerely,

Human Resources"

Well, having been a sales professional and sales manager for more years than I'm willing to admit, I was really surprised by such a transparently bad approach. This kind of recruiting always smells like something for nothing. I checked the website. No information there, just a job application. So, just to satisfy my curiousity, I called the number and a very polite young man answered.

I told him why I was calling and he asked me if I was looking for full time employment. I said, yes, I'm employed but under employed interested in better opportunities. He said that he'd like to schedule me for an interview. I asked for what kind of job? He asked if I knew anything about AT&T Uverse. I said yes. He said, great let's set a time for you to meet one of hiring managers. I said interview for what kind of job? He again asked me if I was interested in full time employment. I repeated, yes and we went back to the same circular dance again! LOL!

I told the very patient young man that I needed to know more about the job (s) they were trying to fill. He said I would learn more when I came in for my interview. So evasive, I knew this was trouble. It's like you can pick up the scent of a bad situation. So I thanked him and hung up.

Still curious, I did an internet search on the Ramsey Group and ended up here were I found rip off reports on both Blue Moon and Ramsey Group. Ah! People complain about base pay representation and unlawful work hours along with management abuse. All with rebuttals of course from supposed former employees. Right. Really? Please.

I'm happy to report that I had already decided to not pursue this "opportunity, " if you can call it that. Weather there's merrit in the posters complaints or not, any business that draws this many complaints and drama is NOT TRUSTWORTHY!

I am only posting because I know there are allot of us un or under employed and struggling. A high percentage of us are great employees in the right situation, but I would hate to see someone struggle to make a living with such an organization. BTW, the $20K base referred to at $450/week actually doesn't make sense since $450/week adds up to almost $22K per year!

So, don't waste your time with a business who endeavors to use your best efforts to just not pay you fairly. Find something else.

And a note to AT&T: Your reputation is being damaged by having agents engaging in such questionable business practices. Fire them and audit the rest of your partners!!!

Good luck to all!!
