We first hired this law group in early 2010 to help us with child custody and support matters. We were charged a $1500 retainer. One motion dated August 5, that we actually received a copy of, has been filed on our behalf. We have emailed and called on numerous occasions and rarely receive answers from them regarding status of our case. We told the Vernettis on January 19, that we no longer need their services and asked them to prepare a final invoice for us. We received an invoice dated January 30, that stated we have $375 remaining in the trust account. On February 20, we emailed requesting the return of the $375. We received no answer. Again, on March 13, we emailed asking when we could expect a check. Still no reply!!! On April 30, we emailed again. Still nothing. On May 5, at 11.09 A.M. I called and spoke to Becky Vernetti. She said she was finishing up the closing of the case and we should receive a check no later than Thursday of the following week. We have not received anything! May 18, I emailed Ms. Vernetti again. She finally replied saying she had some problems getting things taken care of due to an office move and that she would absolutely have a copy of our case and a check in the mail no later than Monday. Nothing. May 24, I emailed Ms. Vernetti to verify with her this had been done. No reply! May 25, at 1:03 P.M. I called Ms. Vernetti. She once again stated she would get it out immediately. May 31, I emailed once more, at this point, requesting our full retainer be refunded. Still no contact from the Vernettis. I would never recommend this group to anyone. We just want the problem resolved and never have to deal with them again.
