I was contacted one evening by Everest Consumer Services who was pushing a credit rebuilding program. For a one time charge of $299.00 I was to receive a credit card with a $2400.00 limit. I was told when I receive the card I was to take a $299.00 advance on the card and deposit it to my account.
The 299.00 would be deducted from my account and I would repay the 299.00 with a minimum payment of 9.00 per month. I was told within 6 months I would have an A credit rating. I never received any credit card and the 299.00 was taken from my account. I have not been able to contact Everest Consumer Services through the number they gave me. I have contacted my bank and in the process of filing a fraud claim with them. I also intend to report this to the Better Business Bureau and the district attorney.
